Looking for some help with Chrome and RDWEB 2016 certs.
I understand that Chrome does not support SHA1 certs anymore.
So we are using windows 2016 RDS servers.
We have I internal CA server.
But I don't know how to make a SHA256 cert for RDWEB from the CA and make sure its trusted by the root CA server.
Any help here would be great!

I have deployed new RDS 2016 and share remote apps. After login through RDWeb I try to start any app and I get second prompt for credentials but there is information: The server's authentication policy does not allow connection requests using saved credentials.
I can start remote apps from another RDS on 2012 R2 from this computer without second prompt so I assume that something wrong on the RDS 2016 server. But what?

Recently I'm facing a problem with a shared HP printer. All of a sudden, the model (driver) is displayed instead of not the share name Other printers are OK, for now.

A regression of recent patchs ?
The issue: Due to a problem, i need to change all reg keys related to all TS/RDP users
first i list the SIDs with REG QUERY HKEY_USERS and the cmd lists 12 user´s SIDs (i´m not counting well-know, _Classess keys, etc)
So i did a "for" loop, changing the proposed reg key for these 12 keys, no problem.. untill now...
So i noticed that i have several (more than 10) users logged on my TS/RDP, but they´re not listed in the USERS hive in registry
So, the problem: I need to change a reg key for all TS users, because users have no right/permission to open CMD, use regtool, etc, so I need to modify the reg keys for each individual user, but most of the users are not present in the USERS reg key
The main script is:

But rhe SIDs.txt was built based on availble reg keys under HKEY_USERS, but i have several users, active, online, using the TS and they have no related reg key under USERS
So, why and more important, how can I change the Cache key for TS users??
I've been searching and searching but I'm not getting all the pieces together. Here is what I need to accomplish:
The application suite runs a database and is normally installed on multiple desktops with one of them being the "master" running the DB. Maintaining the multiple desktops is less practical compared to one VM that everyone connects to. I've seen "hack" ways to run multiple remote connections to Windows 10 and such but I'm looking to do this right. This application suite is going to be used for the foreseeable future and I don't want to hack it together waiting for an update to break the hack.
What I am asking for is help with what I need for this use case. I'm ok with building multiple servers (in ESXi/VMware) if needed, though I would prefer only one. I also would really rather use a per user license since the users are regularly changing out the devices they are connecting with.
I have downloaded and build basic VMs with the eval versions of Server 2019 Essentials and Standard.
Configuration:
Hyper-V - Server 2016 Desktop Virtualization Host with all available updates as of 09/12/2019
-nVidia Tesla M10 with newest Graphics Drivers available - fully support 1903
-Registry setting for AVC444ModePreferred = 1
-Registry setting for AVCHardwareEncodePreferred = 2
VDI Desktop - Windows 10 1903 with all available updates installed as of 09/12/2019
-RemoteFX Adapter added to VM with 2x monitors with 512MB
RDP Client Endpoint - Win10 1803, Win10 1809, Win10 1903 all with all available updates as of 09/12/2019
Scenario 1: RDP from client to the VDI through RDCB or directly: Fails to connect with administrator message
Scenario 2: Connect to VM through Hyper-V Console with RemoteFX enabled - Works flawlessly
Scenario 3: Enable the 'Use WDDM graphics display driver for Remote Desktop Connections' policy - Connection works over RDP but it appears RemoteFX isn't functioning fully as graphics are sluggish. This should not be the fix as the nVidia RemoteFX drivers
should be fully WDDM compatible.
Scenario 4: Remove RemoteFX Adapter - Connection works over RDP but is sluggish due to no RemoteFX

I recently Bitlocker encrypted the system drive of a remote computer and afterwards lost a few of the power button options I would expect to see during a remote session of a Windows 10 1903 computer.

As you can see I have lost the options of sleep, shutdown, and restart after Bitlocker encryption. Very strange. If I turn off bitlocker on the remote machine the options are restored, back to normal. Is this by design or a bug? I
can reproduce problem on two differenct computers. Not a big deal as I know I have other options to sleep, shutdown or restart, but I would like to know what is going on here.

Hello, having an issue where a user suddenly is experiencing the RDP program throwing an error and closing out. The last time this happened to a user, this was resolved by clearing out stale Windows credentials on the client.
I've done that, however still experiencing this issue.
I was able to connect through forcing 32-bit mstsc.exe and this stayed connected. However, we have a printer service that requires 64-bit so we need the 64-bit version of RDP to work.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
We utilize a Remote Desktop deployment to provide a unified browsing experience for our libraries. There are 115 clients involved hosted over 3 host servers.
While numbers per server are balanced workload is not. The presentation to the customer is via a browser which is in a kiosk mode. I am wanting to even out the distribution of workload by balancing the "users" who generate the greatest activity wore uniformly across the host servers. I can do this based upon the memory usage for the kiosk app process, which I can get a breakdown for but nothing I have found includes the "user" name.

I found some interesting errors in the event log. They occur every time a user logs off.
The rds is a server 2016 with user profile disks enabled. The UPDs are set to take all data (no folder selection or filtering).

We have around 15~ Remote Desktop Session Host servers of varying versions (2012 R2, 2016 and 2019) which are experiencing freezing and flickering issues with "Not Responding" appearing in the top bar and the program being unresponsive when switching between tabs. Other symptoms include screen flickering and, when in Task Manager, the tabs sometimes disappear until you roll the mouse over them. These issues started appearing after the weekend of 23rd March 2019 (23/03/19).
I have been scouring forums looking for other people with the same issue but can't find anyone with similar symptoms except someone called Chris_UKDE and his questions haven't been answered either.
At first, we thought that this was caused by a Windows Update but we have been through all of the updates and cannot find any consistent update or lack of update across the servers that seems to have caused the problem. We thought it might have been KB4489889 but after uninstalling this, the problem still remains.
We have opened a case with Microsoft and we are waiting for them to analyse some logs that they gathered on Friday and they have advised various registry fixes and disabling hardware acceleration but none of these have worked. I am taking to the forums to see if anyone else is a. having any luck with their diagnosis and b. having these issues at all(!) and c. if we manage to fix it, to share it with you so you don't have to experience the same pain we have.
The issue does NOT appear to happen in Safe Mode BUT when running a Selective Startup from MSConfig, these issues still happen, eluding that it's still a Microsoft element causing the problem. We are mainly seeing the problems in Microsoft Office programs but we do get a few issues in other Microsoft programs, such as Internet Explorer/Task Manager and also Chrome.
Most of the servers are running on VMWare ESXi 6.0-6.5 but we do have one native Windows Server with the problem. We have tried updating/uninstalling VMWare tools but this does not seem to fix anything. We also thought this might have been related to the video driver, so we booted the server with "Base Video" options in MSConfig but this still didn't fix the problems.
I am hoping that there are others in the same position as me, looking for an answer but having no forum to discuss it on, hence this post. Any advice greatly appreciated.

our workstations with Windows 10 pro are in this weekend updated to version 1803. For main system we use RemoteAPP aplications on Windows server 2012R2 (Windows server 2012R2 is full updated). After update on client station are RemoteAPP slower, and right mouse button is unresponsive, or react verly long time...
It is a big problem for us.
PS: after replace mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll from older version Windows 10 is all OK. but this is not a solution.

I am in the process of migrating users off upd’s to fslogix profile containers in our RDS environment. It’s a standard RDS setup with one connection broker, 25 sessions hosts, rdweb and rdgateway servers. Users connect via wyse thin clients that pull the
connection information from the wyse portal. All Servers are Server 2016.
I would like to publish another collection alongside the existing collection on the same broker, but this will not work due to having the DefaultTSVUrl pointing to the existing collection.
Is there a way to host two session host desktop collections on the same broker for internal access? I know this can be done for external access via rdweb and rdgateway. I have googled this for days and am getting nowhere

This has been up and running with no issues for a couple years.
Now, when users login in they get to the login page, enter credentials, and once attempting to login they get a black screen. This black screen will last for roughly 5 minutes and eventually bring them to there desktop.
All of the above mentioned servers are running virtually on 2 Hyper-V hosts running Server 2012 r2 as well. This issue started 2 days ago.
Rebooting the servers and hosts does not help.
I also restored ALL servers from a backup except for the server running the user profile disks and that made no difference either.
Please help.

I'm kicking off an extensive Excel macro on a network machine via Remote Desktop Connection that takes roughly 50 hours to complete. The macro VB calls a DLL file to execute a chunk of code in C++ (I did not build it and am not well versed). Running the macro in an active session works fine, but if I disconnect and return a good time later, I can tell the macro has made zero progress since when I disconnected from the session--I can tell from status bar communication in Excel. Once I reconnect my session, the macro continues running like I'd never left and no error messages or code execution breaks messages to be found.
It gets weirder--I have 4 options of VMs to choose from, all of which have identical specs (Windows 10, 64-bit Office, 64-bit OS). The macro will continue to run when I'm disconnected on only ONE machine. The only difference I can see on the one machine that's successfully running the macro, is that it's the least recent to have been rebooted (and therefore updated) of the lot.
I do not have local admin rights on any of the machines. Any incite would be greatly appreciated.
