Hi all,
I have tried to configure the time limit when the RemoteApp asks for authentication via GP and Local on the collections:
Locally:
and via GP:
Even now, if i start a RemoteApp after 20-30min it asks me to fill in my password again.
Does anyone have any idea how to configure this time limit properly?
Hello
We need to temporarily allow more than 2 users access to a couple of servers for a short period of time for development work. So we will just be using the eval period for RDS during this time. Just wondering what are the minimum roles we need to install from the list of Role Services - Connection Broker, Gateway, Licensing, Session Host, Virtualization Host, Web Access.
We will not be publishing apps or anything fancy - just remote desktop to the servers.
Then - should we need to extend past the eval period for any reason, is there any additional Role(s) to be installed or do we just need to purchase licenses ?
Thanks
Every time I open the RDS role on Server Manager I get a message The RD Connection Broker server is not available or the relevant services are not running.
I am unable to access the deployment or anything. I have been looking online but I can't find and answer for this issue.
Hi Guys, Working on trying to get a GPO to work for NLA and Printer redirection. The GPO shows that it is applying in GPResult/RSOP but the UI is not reflecting the change. I've verified the GPO is showing as the winning GPO. If I open up the session collection settings both the NLA and Allow printer redirection checkboxes are checked. I've rebooted the host and for safe measure added the server to the security filtering for the GPO but it is still showing the settings as checked. Maybe its a UI bug, as I can RDP into the server without an issue even though NLA shows checked, but I've not tested to see if printer redirection is enabled or disabled in practice.
Its quite the simple GPO.

Hi folks!
We recently installed a RDS Role on a Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual machine. At the moment we have about 10 users sharing an application (which is working just fine)
Weird thing is, periodically, all users files/shortcuts in their Profile(Desktop folder for instance) are no where to be found after a logoff/logon. We can also manually "trigger" the problem by rebooting the server.
All members of our IT team are using ADM accounts with administrative rights on the server and the administrator accounts are unaffected by this issue.
Any thoughts?
Hi Guys!
After deploy RemoteApp 2012 R2 in my company, many machines run Windows 10 with IE 11, can access RDWeb page if user run IE with option "Run as administrator". Maybe add-on has not been load in user normal session. How can I fix it?

Hi,
We have a 2012R2 RDS Farm deployment consisting of the following:
1x AD ,1x RD Broker / RD Web Access,1x RDGW,3x RDSH,1x File Server for UPD.
All of the servers are running on 2012R2. We're having an issue with UPD's not dismounting when a user is logging off.
So when this happens the load balancing wont take effect. The user can only login to the same server as before and if it login to another server it will get a temp profile because the VHDx is still attached to the the former server. There is not much on the internet and we have tried deleting the VHDx and also cleaning the registry of all the temp SID values in the ProfileList section. And also We have checked network settings and there is no loss of network connectivity between any of servers.
The UPDs are stored on a 2012R2 SMB File Server and the notable error we can see is the one below:
Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager/Admin
Source: Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager
Event ID: 20491
Task Category: None
Level: Error
Keywords:
User: SYSTEM
Computer: <Computer>
Description:
Remote Desktop Services could not disconnect a user disk for the user account with a SID of <SID>. The error code is 0xAA.93
Any help on this one would be highly appreciated.

The TCP/IP protocle in SQL Server NetWork Configuration configured TCP Port 1433 and TCP Dynamics Ports is blank for all ip
An correct SQL Server name is specified
I add RDS Connection Broker groupe in SQL server (DB creator)
I configure ODBC and Test is successfully
DRIVER=SQL Server Native Client 11.0;SERVER=SQLServerName;Trusted_Connection=Yes;APP=Remote Desktop Services Connection Broker;DATABASE=RDCBDB
Thanks for your help.
Greetings and welcome to this thread.
We have consequently been experiencing errors with RDS 2012 R2 User Profile Disks / UPD's not detaching after user logoff in brand new Remote Desktop Services 2012 R2 collections.
As an example we have this enviroment:
DCSRV01 - Domain Controller
DCSRV02 – Domain Controller
FILESRV01 – Fileshares and User Profile Disks
RDSGW01 – RD GW
RDSSB01 – Session Broker
RDSSB02 – Session Broker
RDSSH01 – Session Host
RDSSH02 – Session Host
ADFS01 – ADFS
WAP01 – WAP
Only 3rd. Party application installed on the session host is Office 2016 Click-To-Run with shared activation. (GPO for SSO activation etc.)
Consequently User Profile Disks does not detach upon logoff using the newest build of the Click-To-Run Service.
We have tried with multiple builds of Office 2016, and downgrading.
If we disable the C2R service or uninstall Office 2016 C2R completely the UPD’s will detach just fine upon logoff.
We have a bunch of setups like the above where we can produce the issue. However we also have one older setup, with an older version of Office 2016 C2R, that does not seem to produce the issue. However all new setups produce this.
Has anyone experienced issues comparable to this?.
We also have setups with many users running both Office 2010, 2013, 2016 Non-C2r versions on both 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 without any issues at all whether we’re using UPD or Roaming Profiles.
So it seems like there is some issue/bug with the newer versions of Office 365 C2R and User Profile Disks / UPD.
Hope for some well shared knowledge, tips or bugfixes for this :-)

hi there,
Several years ago, the previous IT setup a single server RDS solution (Connection Broker, Session Host, Gateway, Licensing etc on one box). We have experienced performance issue using this setup. When users connect to the RDP during peak time, we are getting disconnections.
What is the best way to move the core services to a new server, leaving the old server as a second RD Session Host so I don't have to recreate the user profiles there?
hello, i want to ask for help because all my files from the server are encrypted and all the commands are hidden
like server manager and all administrator's tools. i want to know if there is any software to decrypt all that.
hi there,
We'd like to deploy a 2 server RDS solution as far as I can see we'll need
2x session hosts
1x connection broker
1x gateway
However we only have budget for 3 windows servers. Therefore could the connection broker go on the same server as the getway, or would it be better to put the connection broker service on another server (i.e. rather than using a dedicated server).
Thanks for any advice on this.

Planning to enroll a few RDS servers:
2x 2012R2 Server with the session host role installed, placed in a collection (internal lan)
1X 2012R2 Server with the Gateway, Web Access, Connection Broker role installed (DMZ).
Is is supported to deploy the connection broker in the DMZ? Or is it best to move all servers to the internal LAN because it isn't supported?
Scenario:
Gateway, Web Access, Connection Broker (DMZ) | firewal | 2x session host servers (internal
I'm unable to connect to Bluetooth ...I found a media library corrupt ..and now I'm wondering should I be connected to my remote desktop connection
Hi to all,
we have a RDS Farm with 2 CB in HA that point to a SQL istance.
How long the connection broker can stand without database? We're extraordinary maintenance SQL database on peak hours.
We can't find this information on documentation.
Thank You!!

Hello everyone.
I have a question: what is the min revision of Rdp specification that is supported by Windows 10?
It looks like Win10 doesn't work with MS-RDPBCGR revision 1 (?). I have an implementation of Rdp protocol in Java (ProperJavaRdp)and it can't connect to Windows 10 (fails at X.224 Connection Request PDU, it differs from the specification and has different TYPE_RDP_NEG_REQ and some other codes).
Thank you for help.
