remove system icons

I've installed a software that communicates with the UPS system and shuts down the server (saving open files) in the case of power failure.

after I've installed it i see a power system icon with a red X says no battery was detected 

is there a way to remove this icon for all users?

i hide it from the administrator session but all other users see it and they bug me for it
