I have several users who connect to remote desktop services via Windows 7 to my terminal server farm (Windows Server 2008 R2). The connection to the server can take over two minutes to connect. What I have found out is the client devices have a fixed IP
address. The fixed IP address is set for a reason, this being to deny access to the internet. When I change the IP address to a leased address (internet allowed), the connection is normal (within 10 seconds). I am governed by group policy. Is there a setting
that can be changed in group policy to resolve this issue for these users?
