Hello all,
In my office, I had a windows 2003 server that no one had issues accessing via RDP. We replaced that server with a Win 2008 server and although no one has issues accessing the new server, we had INTERMITTENT issues accessing the 2003 server (the RPC server is unavailable...). An event would be logged indicating that the 2003 server couldnt read a GPO in the sysvol folder.
following this... http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/zh-HK/windowsserverzhcht/thread/339b552a-c7aa-4676-9579-a0640328ecdf
... I was able to solve the issue once i got to Suggestion #5.
However, the RDP sessions are PAINFULLY slow, whether you RDP from the LAN or VPN. Is there a proper fix for the original issue I was having? What can I do about the speed of the RDP session?
