Hi all, hope someone can shed some light on this.
Recently carried out some maintenance on terminal server farm i set up.
Its 2 servers with connection routed in via NLB and the two servers are part of a
load balanced session directory setup as per standard guidelines, nothing
exotic just a vanilla setup.
Put one server in drainmode so i could install updates and reboot and the other server
was set as normal to process incoming logons and maintain the service.
However, got a call from local support to say users couldn’t login,
they got a
Logons currently disabled message, which i thought you wouldn’t as one server
was still available in the farm to process logons?? They then have to keep
retrying and eventually it allows a login, it’s like the algorithm has then
decided to point them to the available server after a number of attempts to
connect to the server that has been drainstopped.
Anyone any ideas as to why this is happening?
