Since I installed all the manufacturers printer drivers on my new WS2012 R2 RDS server, clients mapped printers appear correctly, they use the appropriate driver but it won't print, it just says "couldn't print to ...".
It works when using Easy Print, but on our previous 2008 R2 servers, we have had to revert to using manufacturers drivers on the RDS server as performance was bad for branch offices and especially with certain label printers.
It also works when adding the printer directly in the RDS session (they are network printers installed on a print server for each office).
I don't see any error in the Event log or any other detail. I have the same problem with a domain admin and changing permissions on Spool\Printers didn't change anything.
Any idea on what might cause this or where I can find more detail or logging would help a lot.
