Windows 2012 RDS Gateway - Windows 8 Client drops connection when minimized

I have been looking for an answer to this for months. The Windows 8 Clients get dropped after 30 seconds to 3 minutes after the session window is minimized, there are no error messages in the event logs. I've tried enabling UDP and opening port 3391 to the gateway, I've tried disabling UDP transport. If anyone has any idea, I would really appreciate it. The client receives the following message-"Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because an error occurred on the remote computer that you want to connect to. Contact your network adminstrator for assistance." This is after being connected, and minimizing the session window. Thanks in advance for the help!!
