Printer redirection

Hi,

I have one simple question.

Is it or not possible to redirect a printer through an RDP session to a Windows Server 2012 that hasNOT Remote Desktop Services Role installed?

I have one printer that I am trying to redirect, but the server does never detect it. Printer drivers were already installed on the server.

I have made a test on a server on which I installed the Remote Desktop Services Role, and in that way it works fine, as it picks up the generic easy print driver.

Any help is appreciated.
