Things I have tried:

1. Created a shortcut to \\TSCLIENT.  Moved the .lnk file into the %usersprofile%\Links

2. Created a shortcut to \|TSCLIENT, Moved shortcut into a folder called Local Files, Created a Shortcut to Local Files, moved the .lnk into %usersprofile%\Links

3. Created a folder named Files, Created a NTFS symbolic link named Your Files mapped to \\TSCLIENT, created a shortcut to Files and moved the .lnk into the %usersprofile%\Links location.

4. Created a Library added the Your Files Symbolic Link.

Note: 3 & 4 work with some programs but not others even though they use the same .NET file open dialog box.

5. Created a GPO with Places this works with the older file open dialogs post 2000 but not the new ones 2008 R2.

Any ideas please how I can create a persistent shortcut that can be used to access the UNC path \\TSCLIENT remotely?
