Hi, we have installed a new RDP Server with 2012 R2 and are having some problem.
After a while, shorter with more users, things starts to getting slower for example:
- Icons on the desktop is loosing it's Icon/picture.
- Opening up Explorer/This computer only gets a "loading" progress bar, if you open a folder from a shortcut it usually works to open though.
- If you go to the start screen and type in letters, or if you take out the Charms press search and type you hang the entire session, and have to restart Explorer.exe (for the user) or wsearch.
We have got some error messages in the logfiles like from "Service Control Manager" with ID 7046 that the service has stopped answering on remote questions, and points to Windows Search.
The problem is there until we restart the wsearch (Windows Search)
service then it disappears for a while (4 hours to 2 days)
We are running Office 2013 (With outlook (offline active for a period of time)) and some smaller .net programs.
The machine is patched with all the patches from Windows Update to this date.
