Intro \ Guide to Tshooting RDS client side issue

Good afternoon, I am looking for assistance or help around troubleshooting RDS. I have RDS on Server 2012. for now to keep it simple for testing I have the Firewall open and listening on ports tcp 3389, 443, and is returning a status 02 listening or filtered on udp 3391 via a portqryui.

I seem to be having an issue when some users from some devices launch a remoteapp, it tries to connect but eventually times out and fails. For many other devices it works just fine and works fine from different networks.

Outside of a netmon capture, does win7 or win8 or another utility or program can log and capture what is occurring on the device at a detailed level when launching the remoteapp? I want to start there at the device level to see what really is going on when this error occurs, due to the ability of so many other devices and other networks remoteapps working alright. Are there any guides you have used or troubleshooting methodology \ programs you can point me at ?
