after installing scanner for windows can the virtual port be changed manually using cmd or registry settings are by any means.

I have installed a samsung scx 4100 scanner to  server 2008 R2, now i want to change the virtual port to other virtual port which i prefer.Is there a way that I can configure port for scanner manually by any means.

-If a motherboard has only four Physical USB port, how many virtual ports can be available in the OS?

-how are the virtual port addressed?

-how does OS address the physical USB port?

-Is there way that we can create a virtual port and link it to the Physical port which i prefer?

Any one real talented person please explain in detail, so that i can understand easily.
