Hey all, so here's the down and dirty. I have a 2008 R2 TS which I users connect to via thin clients (most of them anyways) They then log into a third party TS from within our TS. Let call our TS, TS1 and the other TS2. The users are having an issue where when they log into TS2 not all of their printers are there. The admin's of TS2 say they are at the max which they've raised to 200. On TS1 they have 33 printers none of which are redirected the admins of ts2 don't want to raise the max to allow for that many printers. They also don't want to be the ones limiting the users and instead want us to do it. Straight up they told us they want us to tell our users they are no longer allowed to have that many printers but that it's not them limiting it that it's our limitation. (yeah like I'm going to tell them that)
So there are 20 people and when they log into TS2 they each have 33 printers. My idea is to put people into groups based on location and have only the printers in there location show up as available printers in TS1 so that when they log into TS2 each one isn't logging in with 33 printers a piece.
Where you guys come in is how can I make it so that only the printers for that group show up on TS1? I'm thinking just remove the everyone group and only add in the group name alongside administrators of course....Can anyone back me up on that? I've never had to make a printer invisible for people!
When the users log into our TS we have their printers mapped directly to the TS so little to no redirection there.
