Printer preferences don't stick when printing through RDP

Windows 7 Client, RDP into a Windows 2012 Server. The RDP session is pulling the printers from Win 7, and the print drivers are installed on the server. All the printing works as expected except print quality settings. On the local client, the Print Quality setting is set for Black & White. When logging into the server, the setting always defaults to "Auto Color", regardless of the changes we make on the Server or on the client.

Additionally only 2 trays show up in the remote session, when there are 4 trays available on the printer. I believe this was a problem with 2008 for awhile until a hotfix was released.

Any ideas?
