Hello, to those that may have the same issue and have been able to identify the source of the problem and or worked out a fix. Our company, GDS is currently operating under a BYOD structure. We have a DC/DNS/DHCP server and an RDS server for which users use to log into a virtual work space. DOC Redirect has been set on users profiles via GPO to have their docs redirected to the RDS server "data partition" for which we have reserved for such. For web browsing we have in place Google Chrome Business with a few GPO tweaks. Over the last several months we have been noticing that the users bookmarks in chrome primarily has been getting deleted. It is really hard to pin point as to what is causing this to happen. It is as if chrome is resetting itself. We once thought that it was due to windows sec. update but we are now thinking that it could be a resume of chrome updates. Any ideas?
11-19-13: Just to provide on findings regarding this issue. It is said that because google chrome data (i.e. bookmarks) are getting cached to the Local appdata DIR, when users sign out of their RDS session the data in the Local Appdata file are wiped. A
roaming DIR path was suggested be set in chrome GPO but this was reported to have caused chrome to crash when opened on the users end.
