I have a Windows 2008 R2 RDS License Server that is domain joined with domain scope.
Also I have a Windows 2008 R2 RDS Session Host which is a workgroup server in a DMZ set up to serve using device CAL's.
Traffic is not being blocked by the firewall.
I specified on RDS Session Host to use the License server for issuing licenses and have no errors whatsoever. Diagnostics are run with no errors. User of Device CAL's are not being issued for the users or devices connected to the host.
So my question will be: Can I use license server that is part of AD domain for issuing licenses to a session host that is part of an workgroup for User or Device CAL's?
I read different answers on few forum's stating it will work with Device CAL's but I will need to know for sure.
