Weird issue I've seen around the web and here on technet occasionally with no true fix so I'm asking for a bit of help. It seems we have inverted colors on most of our remote app servers. Attempts to take ownership of the vscache folder for deletion throws
a "failed to enumerate" error. I've had success taking ownership on a non remote app server but still get access denied when trying to delete the vscache folder. I've tried the registry gpo fix detailed here: http://ravingroo.com/1466/fix-windows-server-2012-corrupt-color-scheme-theme-yellow-text-black-background-issue/.
I'm bouncing a few servers as we speak, but as of last night in my home environment I was unable to fix the issue with this workaround on a server I cloned from my corporate production farm. I've run the latest updates on one server and bounced it with no
luck. I may resort to a snapshot but we can't keep taking snapshots of remote app servers each time this happens. Installing the desktop experience has not worked either. I'm really hoping Microsoft has a patch that can be applied or a permanent work around.
